The SNAP! Wedding Photography Philosophy

Your Wedding day is one of the most important days of your life.  That is why SNAP! Photography is dedicated to capturing it at its magnificent best.  On the day you get a beautiful balance of natural candid photos, beautiful posed shots, and also the formals, all taken with the artistry and creative passion that Anthony Turnham brings to all his photographic projects.

The contemporary style of SNAP! Photography combines different elements within the day that results in a wonderful collection of imagery.  A lot of the wedding is photographed with a ‘long’ lens which means events are captured as they happen without any interference with the flow of the day.  During time with the bridal party things get creative.  Friendly guidance is used to keep you relaxed and enjoying yourselves whilst the beautiful memories from your day are captured forever..

Post Production – Bringing out the best in your shots

Unlike some photographers who are new to techniques in the digital darkroom, Anthony has achieved a Degree in digital imaging (BA Creative visualisation in England) and has been digitally processing photos for close to 12 years.  Every single photo taken goes through a stringent editing process to ensure maximum quality whilst remaining faithful to the beauty of the original scene.

Booking Snap to Photograph your Wedding

Firstly thank you for your interest in SNAP! Photography.  Booking can be made by email and it is strongly recommended that you book up early.  Currently bookings are already being made for 2011. Initially it was intended that SNAP! Photography would do only Christchurch wedding photography but due to requests to travel further afield we are also catering to these requests.  If you require SNAP! to travel please contact Anthony to discuss options.

After the wedding the photographs undergo extensive 'post production' retouching to ensure they look their absolute best whilst remaining faithful to the magic of the day.  Many point and shoot cowboys just hand over the files straight from the camera leaving the bride and groom disappointed with the end result.

SNAP! photography believes in delivering the highest quality photos and that's why we invest in the latest and best equipment.  We photograph using the latest digital cameras and demand the highest quality optics from our lenses.  We then edit using cutting edge software on state of the art computers.  Including top end colour calibrated monitors for accurate print reproductions.  A point so often overlooked by other photographers.
  5. Anthony is a real people person.  He loves building rapport with the couple before the wedding day so that on the day you feel comfortable and relaxed, like being photographed by a friend, ultimately resulting in relaxed, beautiful and natural photos.
  6. Safety and security.  This is a biggie!  How would you like to find out that all your wedding day memories have been lost / deleted or corrupted? No?  Well too many photographers out there are taking this risk.  Not us, that's why we impliment fantastic back-up systems to ensure your images are as safe as possible.  For example we back-up to 3 different Hard Drives, a DVD and then store copies in separate physical locations to minimise risk.
